Paintings

Just to clarify, I'm a full-time graphic designer who loves to paint. Most of my paintings start with a photograph of a person. I prefer candid shots that capture the subjects personality. To me, these images provide a sense of authenticity and raw emotion that inspires me to paint with vibrant colors and broad, gestural strokes with light in-mind. I consider my painting style to be perfectly messy abstract impressionism.

Inspiration

Family inspires me especially my kids. Their fearlessness of failure and eagerness to learn motivates me to paint without judgment which is difficult to do. Also my kids unintentionally remind me that doing what I love is reason enough.
